Interactive 3G applications are just a phone call away ...

The video-call feature built in to 3G handsets is not just for person-to-person calls. You can also dial up interactive applications hosted on an IVVR (Interactive Voice and Video Response). Simply make a video call to a phone number and the content is there on your screen. Store the number in your address book and it's even easier.

There are over eight million 3G handsets in Australia, all capable of making interactive video calls with no handset or carrier incompatibilities. Vivatel is in the business of hosting your IVVR applications to let you tap in to this lucrative market.

Below are some featured applications. However, developing one of your own is not difficult, and when linked to a 1900 premium number it generates an immediate revenue stream. Full details of the development tools can be found here.

This demo shows some of the capabilities of the Vivatel platform. As a resource for developers, the source code can be found in demo.zip.

The first option simulates a competition, the second runs a simple dial-a-pizza demo, and the third shows a film festival. The fourth option demonstrates video recording and playback.
